Essex Horse Retirement

Essex Horse Retirement and grass livery.

A picturesque 200 acre farm of horse paradise and pure equine tranquillity where your beloved friend can spend their days and nights grazing, roaming and having fun.

The large fields are protected by woodland with traditional species rich hedgerows which provide natural shelter. Individual or group paddocks and fields. Grazing is managed to sustain the flora and fauna, organic, ragwort free we provide and make our own hay.

All of our horses have access to stables and other facilities. We are a dedicated team and also care for horses that need to be rehabilitated through injury or just in need of a rest. Most vet's now advocate 'the green doctor' turn out or away which usually cures most horse ills.

Some owners also need a break, maybe due to injury or sickness themselves with long and short term stays.

Our residents are checked regularly by qualified staff, at least once a day, and any problems are reported to the owner asap. We have vets on call 24/7 and we live on site with private security.

Please contact us, by email or phone for a visit and chat. It is your horse that comes first for us, and we are able to show you around most times. Transport is available. Paypal accepted. Below are some testimonials:-

I am so grateful that you cared for and about 'Joby' in her final years. She had a wonderful retirement and a fullfilled life. Special thanks to Spencer for staying with her - I really am truly grateful to you both. With sincere affection, S . . . . x

I would like to express my grateful thanks to you for looking after my wonderful horse 'Gem' so well and the understanding way you handled her death. Gem gave me 16 years of pleasure and I am so happy that her last years was spent retired in such peaceful surroundings. It was re-asurring that a caring person like you looked after her so well, living so far away. Although I was shocked and devastated by her death, I'm so pleased that she died in such a peaceful way and didn't suffer. She was such a very proud horse and she died with dignity, which she deserved. I have many rosettes and trophies she won to remind me of her always. My grateful l thanks to you both once again - A . . . . . Kingdom of Bahrain
